What Contented Wife stores, and why

Last updated October 18, 2026

Contented Wife is a private household planner used by invited families. This page explains what it stores about you and why.

Signing in with Google

When you sign in with Google, the site receives your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture. It uses them only to recognise you, show your name, and link you to your household. It never sees your Google password and cannot read your Gmail, Drive or anything else in your Google account.

What you add

Tasks, chores, appointments, finances, documents, inventory, job searches and everything else you enter is stored in the site's own database so that you and the members of your household can see it. It is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone outside your household.

AI features

Some features, such as analysing a job posting, send the text you provide to Anthropic's Claude to produce the result. Anthropic does not use that text to train its models.

Visit statistics

The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your browser's address and basic details such as device type and rough location. Google's use of that data is described in Google's privacy policy, and you can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Requesting an invitation

If you ask for an invitation, the email address you give is stored so it can be added to the list of accounts allowed to sign in.

Removing your data

To have your account and everything you added deleted, ask the person who invited you, or the site administrator.
